Don't forget the grip cone to make the fitting of your new grip easy! Here's how to change your bat grip using a grip cone:
Remove Old Grip: If there's an existing grip on the cricket bat, it needs to be removed first. This can be done by carefully peeling it off.
Prepare the Handle: Ensure that the handle of the cricket bat is clean and free from any residual grip or adhesive.
Insert the Cone: The grip cone typically has a tapered end that facilitates easy insertion into the top of the cricket bat handle. Gently push the cone into the handle until it reaches the bottom.
Attach the New Grip: With the grip cone in place, you can now easily slide the new grip onto the cricket bat handle. The cone provides a smooth surface for the grip to slide on, making the process more manageable.
Remove the Cone: Once the new grip is in position, carefully pull the grip cone out of the handle. The cone's tapered shape helps in smoothly extracting it without damaging the grip or the handle.
Adjust the Grip: Ensure that the grip is evenly distributed along the length of the handle. You can adjust it to achieve the desired thickness and comfort.
Secure the Grip: Some grips come with adhesive backing or require the use of cricket bat tape to secure them in place. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for securing the grip effectively.
